Hey all you fine folks. Dad and I are here in Bogotá, Colombia for a mission president´s conference. Elder Holland was going to come but got called elsewhere. That's a bit of a dissapoinment, especially for for those who were here last year--Elder Eyring was supposed to come but got reassigned at the last minute. Anyway, it's just fun to be here in beautiful Bototá where it's eternal spring (about 57° all year round). It has been raining here for about three weeks so everything is gorgeously green.
We attended a sacrament meeting this morning and were marvelling at how clean the upholstry on the benches was. (Partly we were marvelling because there was upholstry on the benches--haven't seen it in Ecuador.) Anyway, when we stood up to leave we discovered they were clean because they had been cleaned yesterday, leaving our backsides pretty wet.
Dad is in the room trying to finish his emails (he gets a new batch on Tuesday). We have until 7:00 when the conference officially begins. Elder Costa of the presidency of the Seventy is the presiding authority.
Emma, it has been so fun to come to our own page and "chat". Thanks so much for starting up everything. Thank you everyone for your entries, comments and especially pictures. It has been delightful.
This fancy hotel we're staying at only allows a few minutes of free internet per guest per day and mine is about up. Maybe I can check in tomorrow--don´t know what the schedule is but we'll be here through Wednesday.
Much love to everyone. Mom

Note to self: next time my pants are damp, blame the upholstery.
Glad you are having a great time. Take lots of pictures so you can share Bogota with us.
Hehe--I just learned where Bogota is on a map on Friday. Yay for World Geography. Have fun at Mission President camp.
